The Strategy and Organisation Division of the School of Management, University of Bath, is seeking a Professor to take on a leading role in the development of research in any of its three centres of excellence: strategy, entrepreneurship & innovation, organisation studies, and human resource management. The successful applicant will have a notable international reputation, outstanding publication record and ability to attract research funding.

We seek people who are equally passionate about teaching and research, and who desire to influence policy and practice. You will play a full role in the vibrant and thriving intellectual and research culture of the Division, and in guiding and mentoring more junior colleagues. We are keen to build upon our track record in attracting external research income, our demonstrable impacts on policy and practice, and our publications in leading journals. You will contribute to our range of successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, teaching high-achieving and motivated students. You will attract outstanding doctoral students.

You will be joining a high-achieving and supportive team of colleagues who publish in a wide range of leading journals, including the Academy of Management Journals, Organization Studies, Human Relations, Research Policy, Journal of Business Venturing, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Science, Journal of Vocational Behaviour, Human Resource Management Journal, etc. Colleagues are active contributors to the academic community: editing journals, taking up leadership positions in professional bodies, coordinating workshops and conferences. All our professors are engaged in supporting new and/or rising academics, a top priority of the Division.

The Division is home to four research centres that support outstanding international research and scholarship: the Future of Work Research Centre, the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CREI), the International Centre for Higher Education Management, and the Identities Research Centre. We support and encourage interaction between academics, scholarly practitioners and doctoral students, and offer a wide range of activities, including seminars, theory master classes and academic writing workshops.

Enquiries : Professor Nancy Harding (Head of Division) (hnh25@bath.ac.uk) or Professor Yasin Rofcanin (yr308@bath.ac.uk).
