The University of Bath has a great opportunity for a Deputy Hospitality Operations Manager to join our team.

About us:

The University Hospitality department isn't just about student catering. We have several outlets on campus all serving high quality food and drink options. As well as catering to students, we host large conferences and banquets. Our customers are as diverse as our food.

About the role:

This is a key role requiring you to:

  • ensure that all Food Safety, Health and Safety, Licensing Laws and all other legislation is adhered to.
  • be responsible for strategically developing and maximising the profits of the Food and Beverage outlets.
  • be responsible for the front and back of house staff, their development and management, including managing their direct reports.
  • ensure that financial targets of your outlets are achieved by increasing sales and controlling costs to maximise profitability.
  • create a culture of excellent customer service
  • have the ability to communicate effectively, influence others and
  • build/lead a committed team.

Flexibility is important and the role includes early morning, evening and weekend working on a 5 out of 7 days per week contract. You will be expected to manage your own time, working a minimum of 36.5 hours per week.

About you:

You will ideally have multi-site management experience of high-volume F&B operations, to include a sound working knowledge of both front and back of house environments. With extensive experience in leading and motivating multiple teams, you will have successfully planned, managed and implemented new styles of service, events and functions, leading with a hands-on approach.
