The University of Bath’s School of Management is ranked among the top UK business schools, with a renowned reputation for business education and international research.

The MSc Careers Team is growing and we wish to appoint an MSc Careers and External Engagement Advisor (Grade 7 with Qualification in Career Guidance) or an MSc Careers and External Engagement Officer (Grade 6 without the QCG), to enhance the employability of our MSc students. The duties of this busy and varied role will include: engaging with external stakeholders to organise a range of assessed and extra-curricular activities; delivering employability focused workshops and one to ones to support students with the recruitment process in the UK and overseas.

A team-player but also able to work independently, you will have excellent communication, interpersonal, project management and organisational skills. Experience of working with students within a higher education environment and sensitivity to cultural differences is desirable.

You will need to be able to communicate persuasively and tactfully with external contacts, alumni and students. Use of initiative, flexibility, a conscientious approach, the ability to learn quickly and to form effective working relationships in the School, the University as a whole, and with corporate contacts and other external contacts is essential. Some flexibility is required to work at events outside hours. There may be the opportunity to travel to engage with international recruiters and alumni or to help at recruitment events.

For an informal discussion, please contact Caroline Baldwin, MSc Careers Manager, (01225 385120 or c.p.baldwin@bath.ac.uk) or Sarah Peel, MSc Careers and External Engagement Advisor, (sep53@bath.ac.uk). However please ensure that you submit your application through the University of Bath website.
