Roles and responsibilities of our Bath Pathways to Fellowship Champions

Bath Pathways to Fellowship Champions support the application process for the Experiential Pathway staff in their department or school.

Procedure

Bath Pathways to Fellowship Champions are academic and professional staff who oversee the application process and support staff in their department, school or area through the Experiential Pathway to Fellowship. See our list of Champions to find out who to contact in your department, school or area.

Our Champions work closely with the Curriculum and Academic Development team to support experienced staff who are eligible and would like to achieve HEA Fellowship.

Their role is to:

  • identify and support staff wishing to gain fellowship through the Experiential Pathway to Fellowship.
  • signpost potential applicants to relevant information.
  • advise individuals they need to attend the mandatory, centrally organised sessions - Introduction to Fellowship and Reflective Writing Support. Both sessions must be attended by all prospective AFHEA/FHEA and SFHEA applicants.
  • provide feedback on draft applications (or help applicants to identify other colleagues in the department who could offer feedback).
  • support identification and recruitment of fellowship reviewers in their department or school in collaboration with the CAD team.
  • notify the CAD team when individuals are ready to submit to the next panel.
