Sam's responsibilities include:

- Developing social media content for the IPR and Brunel Centre
- Updating website content
- Commissioning IPR blog posts
Career
Prior to joining the IPR and Brunel Centre, Sam managed business-to-government (B2G) and business-to-business (B2B) marketing campaigns in both in-house and agency roles, predominantly within the aerospace, space and defence sectors. She holds a First Class Honours BSc in Marketing from Lancaster University.
While employed at Airbus, Sam conducted market research which identified the rapid growth of Scotland’s space sector. This led her to pursue a PhD in place-based development, focusing on regional networks in innovation-intensive sectors. She completed her PhD at the University of Bath School of Management in 2025.
During her doctorate, Sam presented her research at leading international Regional Studies conferences. Alongside her research, she lectured in marketing, taught economics seminars, and served as an elected Team Leader on the University’s One Young World event organising committee.
