Lizzie Hope-Dyer Head of Pre-Award
Responsible for overseeing support for research funding applications and awards, and for making sure they meet funder and University requirements.
Role
Lizzie was appointed Head of Pre-Award in 2019.
The main purpose of her role is to manage the delivery of research applications and awards across a range of funders. This helps grow the University’s Research and Innovation portfolio in line with strategic aims.
Lizzie has responsibility for:
- all Pre-Award functions (proposals and awards)
- enquiries about the Proposal to Award Management (PAM) system
- Pre-Award team management
Career
Lizzie has worked at the University since 2006. She has worked in the Finance Department as well as the Science Faculty. Lizzie joined Research and Innovation Services (RIS) in 2011, working in the Post-Award team for a year before moving to the Pre-Award team. She was Pre-Award Manager from 2016 until moving to Head of Team in 2019.
Education
Lizzie has a Level 5 Diploma from the Institute for Leadership and Management (ILM5) and the Level 4 qualification from the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). She also has a degree in Psychology from the University of Gloucestershire.
