Emily Hunt IPR Policy Engagement Manager
Emily oversees the Institute for Policy Research (IPR) Policy Fellowship Programme and supports the development of the Bath Policy Engagement Academy.
Role
Emily's responsibilities include:
- managing the IPR Policy Fellowship Programme – recruiting senior policymakers and facilitating a tailored programme of meetings with select Bath academics
- developing the Bath Policy Engagement Academy to upskill researchers in policy engagement
- supporting with the design and delivery of University-wide policy engagement activities
Career
Emily began her career working for Policy@Manchester as a Communications and Engagement Assistant, helping to connect researchers from the University of Manchester with policymakers and decision-makers and nurture long-term policy engagement relationships in the city-region. She then worked as a researcher to a senior MP for over two years, managing the policy service in the constituency office and helping to deliver his local and parliamentary priorities.
Emily completed her MSc in Policy Research at the University of Bristol in 2025. She also holds a BA in Politics and Modern History from Manchester.
