Dr Rachel Gavey

Career
Rachel is a sustainability and climate risk expert with extensive experience advising multinational corporations, government bodies and investors on ESG strategy, emissions reduction and energy transition. She currently splits her time between Bath, where she delivers guest lectures at the University of Bath School of Management, and Saudi Arabia.
As Co-founder and Commercial Director of sustain:able, Rachel works with hard-to-abate sectors to integrate sustainability, emissions reduction and climate resilience into corporate strategy. She has shaped policies at the board level, both with clients and as a Board Director, and Deputy Chair, of the Scottish Energy Forum.
She previously chaired the Wessex Regional Flood and Coastal Committee, working with the Environment Agency and DEFRA on flood and coastal risk management.
Rachel’s approach combines data-driven insights, market expertise and a background in marine and environmental sciences to bridge the gap between sustainability, risk management and business strategy.
