Wayne is responsible for the micro-CT scanner in the Structure and Material laboratory.

Role
Wayne Liu operates the Imaging Facilities micro-CT scanner, providing experimental methodology consultation to internal and external users.
He is a designated Radiation Protection Supervisor and oversees multiple instrumentation in the Mechanical Engineering Ceramics Lab.
Wayne is also responsible for material destructive testing in the department and directly supports shaping workshops for Mechanical Engineering undergraduate teaching sessions.
Career
Wayne grew up in Hong Kong before pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Portsmouth. He focused on studies of polymers, particularly PTFE, during his final year project.
Wayne joined the University of Bath in September 2023 after completing his degree.
