This project explores how a student–staff partnership approach can be used to embed planetary health and environmental sustainability into pharmacy education using Earth Day as a focal point. Pharmacy students will act as co creators, designing a series of short, interactive infographics released in the lead up to Earth Day. Each resource will focus on a key planetary health issue relevant to pharmacy. The infographics will include interactive elements to encourage active learning. The series will culminate in an interactive online workshop on planetary health and pharmacy for Year 1 MPharm students across the Bath and Plymouth campuses.

The project responds to challenges around relevance, engagement and visibility of sustainability in the curriculum. Rather than relying on isolated, staff led teaching, it introduces a student driven approach. The countdown format allows repeated exposure to key ideas, while co creation gives students a genuine sense of ownership and a chance to showcase their work to other students.

Impact will be evaluated using a mixed methods approach, including engagement data, pre and post intervention surveys and qualitative feedback. Overall, the project aims to build students’ confidence in applying sustainability principles in pharmacy practice and to contribute to wider discussions around co creation in education.
