The University of Bath has been ranked 1st for Psychology in The Guardian University Guide 2018. This follows rankings of 2nd in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 and 2nd in the Complete University Guide 2018.

We also scored particularly highly for satisfaction with the course 96%, and satisfaction with teaching 94.2% in the The Guardian University Guide 2018.

Head of Department, Professor Greg Maio, commented on these results: "I am very proud of our team. Our lecturers, teaching fellows, researchers, postgraduates and professional support staff all work together to continually update and invigorate our approach. This attitude is applied to all of our teaching and research activity.

"We aim to provide a stimulating and challenging student experience, and we take a great deal of pleasure in working with our students to achieve the right pedagogical environment. It is always heartening when the students see this effort. It is doubly rewarding that so much of the teaching success is built on excellent research activity at the leading edge of theoretically-informed applied psychological work. This high research quality and high scientific engagement outside of the university makes the work easy to teach, with high impact, and benefits our students' employability in the world outside of our campus."
