Timetabling Statement

How the University creates the main teaching timetable, and use of central teaching rooms, study space bookings and room bookings for non-timetabled activities.

Policy

This document sets out:

  • the guiding principles, and roles and responsibilities for creating the University’s main teaching timetable
  • the use of ‘centrally controlled’ teaching and study space
  • how we manage bookings of centrally controlled teaching spaces for non-teaching use.

It does not include creation of the University's Exam Schedule that applies during assessment periods as set out on the academic year charts.
