The Centre for Artificial Intelligence is a hub for cutting-edge research, collaboration and innovation in AI. Artificial intelligence is at a hugely exciting point, with the rate of innovation astounding. Existing developments are fundamentally changing our lives, while new ones will have impacts we cannot yet anticipate.

With a core focus on machine learning, we unite researchers from across departments to explore AI's potential and impact. Our work explores algorithmic innovations, mathematical foundations, and a wide spectrum of applications in chemistry, life sciences, physics and engineering.

About us

We are a diverse and inclusive community of researchers, working on a wide range of topics, including: generative models, deep learning, Bayesian machine learning, reinforcement learning, causality, probabilistic inference, optimisation, inverse problems, signal processing, robotics, visual intelligence, and interpretability. We work collaboratively on a wide range of applications.
