Early International Welcome

Arrive for our early induction to ensure a smoother transition to studying at Bath.

Early International Welcome

Arrive on campus a few days earlier for our International Welcome event to help you settle into your new life in the UK.

Starting at university is exciting, but also can be an extremely busy time. International students often have additional challenges, such as setting up a bank account, document checking and adapting to a different culture.

Our optional Early International Welcome programme will help you navigate these challenges and give you time to settle in before the main University Welcome Week so you have the time to make the most of the experience. If you are unable to arrive early don't worry, you will still receive the same information and support alongside the other activities going on during Welcome Week.

What does the early Welcome include and cost?

As well as a full two day programme the Welcome includes:

  • Three nights extra accommodation in your permanent University accommodation for Tuesday 17, Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 September.
  • Optional free coach travel from Heathrow direct to your accommodation on Tuesday 17 September.
  • Three evening meals including a closing dinner on the final evening.
  • Two breakfasts on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 September.
  • Bespoke tours of the campus and city.
  • Fast track document checking.
  • Information on healthcare in the UK and the opportunity to register with the Medical Centre.
  • Advice about and help with setting up UK bank accounts.
  • Social events.
  • A welcome package including hoodie, lanyard and keep cup.
  • An opportunity to meet and chat to current students.
