Despite the continuing uncertainties, the position of the UK Government continues to be that the UK will leave the European Union on 31 October 2019.
Given that this occurs during school half term holidays for many, we wanted to get information to you well ahead of time so that you can plan effectively. If you are planning to travel outside the UK, there is the potential for flights, trains and ferries to be disrupted, extended queues at immigration and possible confusion about the status of immigration documents.

Clarity, the University’s travel management company, offers a 24-hour assistance service in case of disruption.
If your travel is for University business purposes, you will be covered by the University travel insurance. Please register your trip before you go so that we know when and where you are travelling. The cover includes 24-hour telephone assistance and cover for medical care and expenses incurred as a result of sickness or injury while overseas on University business anywhere in the world.
If your travel is for personal reasons, do check what your insurance covers.
If you plan to travel, please ensure that your department knows about your travel arrangements and that you have access to the necessary contact numbers to let your department know should your return to the UK be disrupted.
