The sustainability stalls run by Campus Services during fresher's week raised a grand total of £927.48.

The money was donated to the local Bath Cats and Dogs Home charity.

The stalls are part of our Leave No Trace campaign, which aims to reduce our environmental impact.

At the end of the last academic year, students leaving our accommodation donated their unwanted kitchen items. These were then collected by the Campus Service team, cleaned and prepared for sale.

After the stalls finished, the remaining crates of kitchen equipment and homeware were then:

  • put into the community larder for students and staff to help themselves
  • given to first year students
  • donated to Mercy in Action

Fiona Wakely, Pantry Co-Ordinator for Mercy in Action said, "a huge thank you for all the kitchenware you donated to us, it's been a big help already, and it's flying off the shelves in the pantry."
