We are excited to announce that our new electric vehicle (EV) salary sacrifice scheme will be launching in September 2023.

The EV scheme is an employee benefit that allows you to access and lease a wide range of electric vehicles with no upfront cost. As it’s a salary sacrifice scheme, you’ll also benefit from tax and National Insurance savings. If you are already considering buying a new electric vehicle, this could be the most cost-effective way of doing so.

Meet with our EV provider

Following a thorough tender process and assessment, Tusker was appointed as the scheme provider.

You can find out more about the scheme by joining Tusker for an event in September. They will be hosting an online webinar and coming to campus for an in-person drop-in roadshow. These events will take you through the scheme and its benefits in detail. This will include how to access and use Tusker's website, deciding which vehicle is right for you and seeking individual, tailored quotations. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you have about the scheme.

If you’re unable to make either date, you will also be able to watch the webinar recording which we’ll share after the event.

Our carbon footprint

As commuting accounts for 5% of the University of Bath's total carbon footprint, it represents a significant area where our choices can make a big impact on reaching Net Zero by 2040. The EV salary sacrifice scheme forms part of our commitment to reduce our carbon emissions. You can find further information on the wide range of ways the University supports environmentally-friendly commuting on our travelling to work and active travel webpages.
