Open to undergraduate students in Year 1 and Year 2, the new 'Bath Insights' scheme will help students build confidence and develop sought-after employability skills.
Professional Services and Faculty teams are invited to offer short 6-8 week internships to students from June to July 2024. Students will receive pre- and post internship training and free accommodation.
Helen Stringer, Director of Employability and Student Success, said:
I'm delighted to launch the Bath Insights initiative. Finding work experience can be a real challenge for students and the scheme aims to give them a chance to develop their skills in a supportive environment. Host departments will also benefit by harnessing student creativity, ingenuity and energy on real projects. I hope Professional Services and Faculty teams will take part in Bath Insights and encourage students to apply.
Key dates
- 16 February deadline for project proposals and intent to recruit
- 1 March – 22 March application window
- 23 March – 8 April shortlisting and interviews
- 1 May all offers made
- 10 June interns start
