We want to make sure all new students feel welcomed to the Bath community, and supported as they negotiate the excitement and challenge of beginning their time with us. To achieve this, a team of staff and students from across the institution will work together to deliver Welcome Week. This is a comprehensive programme of talks, events and activities to introduce students to Bath and all we have to offer.
Even if you’re not directly involved in this activity we can all help in greeting new arrivals and helping them settle in, both academically and socially. We have created a Useful Information for Welcome Week page to signpost key sources of information and to hopefully help you answer any questions new students might have for you. These sources of information cover both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
I want to end with a sincere thank you to all the staff and students who dedicate considerable time and effort to planning and delivering Welcome Week, working hard to ensure our new students have the best possible start to their time at Bath. I also thank those staff that have already been supporting the arrival of some of our international students allowing them to be part of these welcome events.
