The UK government has revised the rules for entering England from mainland China. You will need to show notification of a negative Covid-19 test result when you depart mainland China for England. This will be checked by your airline.
If you have made travel plans that may be affected you should continue to check the latest advice from your travel provider and the UK Government Covid website.
In-person learning
If you are unable to arrive in time to attend in-person classes, you must contact your Director of Studies to discuss how best to continue learning.
If you're an undergraduate or Master's student and feel that your attempt at an assessment has been affected by your ability to travel, then you may be able to submit an Individual Mitigating Circumstances claim so the Board of Examiners is aware of your circumstances. You will need to provide evidence that you were not able to travel, such as a Covid test result in English.
On campus exams (paper, oral or Inspera in-person)
If you're unable to arrive in the UK in time to sit an in-person exam, it won't be rescheduled or moved online. Instead, you'll be able to submit an Individual Mitigating Circumstances claim for any affected exams so the Board of Examiners is aware of your circumstances. You will need to provide evidence that you were not able to travel, such as a Covid test result in English.
Doctoral (postgraduate research) students
If your plans to attend campus are likely to be affected, you should contact your supervisor or Director of Studies to tell them that your visit will be delayed. If this delay is likely to have an impact on your ability to make progress on your research project, you should discuss the implications with your supervisor, your Director of Studies, or the Doctoral College (who can be contacted by emailing doctoralcollege@bath.ac.uk).
