The University of Bath is ranked the UK’s eighth best university and the best in the South West in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024.

The University placed 4th in the UK for student experience, and 6th for graduate prospects, highlighting the strong focus placed on building a strong sense of community and onward advancement.

Bath also placed highly in several subject rankings, including:

  • Accounting and finance – 4th
  • Aeronautical and manufacturing engineering – 6th
  • Architecture – 5th
  • Business, management and marketing – 4th
  • Civil engineering – =6th
  • Criminology – 2nd
  • Mathematics - =7th
  • Mechanical engineering – 7th
  • Natural sciences – 8th
  • Pharmacy and pharmacology – 5th
  • Psychology – 6th
  • Social policy – 3rd
  • Social work – 5th
  • Sociology – 5th
  • Sports science – 2nd

Today’s Good University Guide follows the recent publication of the Complete University Guide, in which Bath was ranked 5th. The Guardian University Guide placed Bath 6th, while the international QS World University Rankings rated the University among the world’s top 10%, placing in the global top 150.

“This achievement follows on from sixth place nationally in the Guardian University Guide 2024 last weekend and fifth in the UK in the Complete University Guide 2024.
