Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences department managers team

We provide senior-level operational management and administrative support for the Faculty’s six academic departments.

We work with the heads of the Faculty’s departments, as well as senior members of staff, to provide administrative and operational support.

We’re responsible for:

  • HR-related activity and recruitment
  • Administration of academic promotion, sabbaticals, probation, and SDPRs (Staff Development Performance Reviews)
  • Academic Workload Allocations Management System (WAMS) support
  • Department finance and budgeting
  • Department-level communication
  • Space management (room allocation and booking)
  • Support for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)
  • Departmental project management
  • Cross-departmental project management to ensure consistency across the Faculty
  • Process improvement
