Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences student experience team
We provide dedicated student support and deliver projects to improve the experience of students in the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences.
We support students in our Faculty's academic departments, ensuring they are empowered to succeed throughout their time at Bath.
Across the team, we:
- coordinate pastoral care within departments and guide students to the appropriate support services
- empower students to take positive action and enact change via schemes such as Student Change Projects and Vertically Integrated Projects (VIPs)
- oversee activities that develop students' employability, with a particular focus on those not undertaking professional placements
- make sure the 'student voice' is heard and acted on via mechanisms such as student-staff liaison committees (SSLCs), focus groups, world café-style activity, and surveys
- support Faculty-wide initiatives, like One Young World Bath
- develop Faculty-student communications
We are also committed to student Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) initiatives and represent the Faculty on University working groups and committees.
