Women and the workplace

According to the Women in the Workplace Report 2018, women remain underrepresented in business at every level. The "glass ceiling" for women is still an issue in some industries while certain sectors have trouble recruiting a particular gender. For example, men are under-represented in primary school teaching.

However, there is progress in this area with an increasingly large number of employers committing to recruiting women in particular in senior positions. There is significant data demonstrating the business case for investing in women. For example read the BSR report on investing in women.
