National Student Survey
University of Bath students continue to be amongst the most satisfied in the UK according to the results of the 2015 National Student Survey (NSS), published on 12 August 2015.
The overall satisfaction rate for University of Bath students is 90% - four points above the UK national average of 86% for HEIs.
Highlights of the NSS 2015 results
The University of Bath Students’ Union is among the top 10 Students’ Unions in the country for the third year in a row.
Jordan Kenny, President of the Students’ Union, said: “Whilst students’ expectations of their University and Students’ Union continue to increase, these results demonstrate that more often than not together we are succeeding at meeting and exceeding these. Students at Bath have stated clearly that they place an incredibly value on the significant investments that are made into supporting them get the most from their time at Bath.”
Five of our departments scored 95% or higher:
- Chemical Engineering (100% satisfaction)
- Psychology (97% satisfaction)
- Mechanical Engineering (96% satisfaction)
- Biology and Biochemistry (96% satisfaction)
- Chemistry (95% satisfaction)
About the NSS
More than 300,000 final-year students responded to the 2015 NSS survey from 155 HEIs,190 further education colleges (FECs) and five private HE providers across the UK. This represents a response rate of 71 per cent, the same as the previous year.
The results of the national survey provide valuable information for prospective students, and help universities, colleges and students’ unions to further improve the education and services they provide.
