eduroam is the secure wireless service at the University of BathTo use the wireless service connect to the eduroam network.

Wireless access is provided across much of campus

The eduroam (education roaming) service provides secure wireless access to the internet for staff and students at the University of Bath.  It also allows visitors from eduroam affiliated organisations to gain access.   Using eduroam, staff and students from the University of Bath can access the internet via other eduroam wireless services worldwide

You can connect to wifi via the secure eduroam service if you a visitor to the University of Bath and have an eduroam account at your home education establishment - please follow our advice for visitors.

Cannot connect to eduroam?

Some wireless devices, such as gaming consoles, will not be able to connect to eduroam. For this we provide BUCS-WiFi, this is a less secure wireless connection.  If you are a visitor with a game console that has a web broswer, you can connect to _The Cloud wifi service.

Wireless for visitors

You can connect to wifi via the secure eduroam service if you a visitor to the University of Bath and have an eduroam account at your home education establishment - please follow our advice for visitors.

If you are a visitor to the University of Bath with no eduroam account:

_The Cloud provides user instructions on how to connect different devices to the wifi service, and there is an app for android device users and for iPhone, iPod and iPads.

Acceptable Use

Anyone connecting to the eduroam service on campus must follow the local University of Bath acceptable use policy, the JANET eduroam policy and of course the local law.
