To experience studying in a different cultural and academic context. To develop foreign language skills.

Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this unit the successful student will be able to:
* demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the content of the chosen academic units attended in the destination university.
* demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the cultural and technological differences between different academic institution of different countries.

* To understand taught material in a foreign language, context- taught
Professional/Practical skills
* Analytical and design skills related to the material covered - assessed
Transferable/key skills
* To communicate ideas verbally and in writing in a different language - facilitated and assessed.

Content:
Content will vary from student to students in detail, but will substantially overlap with units that the student should have attended in the second semester of year 4 of the MEng 5 year in Civil and Architectural Engineering.
