To develop students' abilities to assimilate compilations of experimental data and to draw valid conclusions from them. To provide further experience of the application of biochemistry, to provide a second placement experience, thereby building upon and extending the skills, techniques and knowledge gained in the second year and to further promote understanding of the principles and practices of working in a professional environment. To promote understanding of the principles and practices of working in a professional environment.

Learning Outcomes:
After taking this course the student should be able to:
* assess the significance of a collection of biochemical observations;
* undertake and report on a piece of work in an agreed programme;
* integrate into a commercial or academic environment.
