This unit will introduce students to the issues, both historical and contemporary, that have stimulated organisational change within the funeral industry during the twentieth century.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the unit students will have demonstrated:
* A basic understanding of the history of the funeral industry in the UK;
* An understanding of factors contributing to organisational change within the funeral industry in the twentieth century;
* An ability to identify and interpret issues concerning the future of funeral service.

* To consider research evidence as well as a variety of other information;
