| Aims: * To introduce the student to clinical research methodologies; * To understand the design of a research project; * To analyse and process research results; * To report on research outcomes and communicate their limitations. Learning Outcomes: After successful completion of this unit the student will be able to: * Understand the research process; * Develop strategies for exploring complex multidisciplinary research issues; * Present research outcomes. Overview of statistical analysis, Statistical Design: Parametric and non-parametric methods, Ethical aspects of research, Research Protocol Preparation and Quality control, Writing for Publication, oral presentation of research findings. |
