Generic exit awards for programmes assessed under NFAAR:UG

A review of the effectiveness of NFAAR:UG during 2013/14 recommended the introduction of new Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) and Diploma of Higher Education (DiplHE) exit awards for all programmes assessed under NFAAR:UG. Following Senate approval, these awards will be introduced with effect from 2014/15 and will be available to all students studying on a NFAAR:UG compliant programme from 2014/15 onwards irrespective of when they started the programme.

These awards will be available to students who meet the relevant criteria for award and who:

  1. decide to withdraw from their programme of study before attaining the intended award;
  2. are asked by the University to withdraw from their programme of study before attaining their intended award.

Whilst there are individual programme codes for CertHE and DiplHE exit awards in each subject area, awards will not be subject specific; students will receive either a Certificate of Higher Education or a Diploma of Higher Education as appropriate.
