Welcome to the University of Bath's registration guidance web-site. This site has been provided by the University to assist you in registering as a student at the start of the 2013/14 academic year. It provides information about the process of registration, and what you need to do to get registered.
Every student is required to register at the beginning of each academic year, and only those who have registered are allowed to enjoy the facilities provided by the University. You will find that if you do not register you will be unable to use the Library and Sports facilities, or obtain a University/Students' Union card. This web-site provides information for both new and returning students; undergraduates and postgraduates; and students based both at the Bath campus and those students at our partner colleges on franchised courses.
Registration for new students in the 2013/14 academic year
If you are commencing your course of study in the 2013/14 academic year, starting in August, September or October, you will be emailed, once you have met your conditions and firmly accepted your offer of a place, to ask you to complete registration on-line.
- New Undergraduate Students will be emailed at the beginning of September.
- New Postgraduate Students (starting in September or October) will also be emailed at the beginning of September.
Once you have been asked to register, please complete registration as soon as you can; you must have completed registration by Friday 4th October 2013.
Re-registration for continuing students in the 2013/14 academic year
Students continuing their studies in the 2013/14 academic year will receive an e-mail to their University e-mail account at the beginning of September asking them to re-register for the 2013/14 academic year.
Every student is required to register at the start of each academic year even when on placement or in suspense. If you do not re-register by Monday 7th October 2013 your university e-mail account will stop working temporarily and will only work again once you have completed the process of registration.
If you are going on placement, or you don't tend to check your university e-mail account very often, then we recommend that you set up your e-mail account so that messages can be forwarded to your personal e-mail account.
