The University of Bath ranks in the top 10 universities in the UK and best in the South West, according to the Complete University Guide 2027 released today, Tuesday 2 June 2026.

It is the seventh year in a row that the University of Bath has been in the top 10, and it marks a decade as the number one University in the South West.

Professor Phil Taylor, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bath, said:

“To be ranked ninth in the UK by the Complete University Guide is a significant recognition of the outstanding work taking place across our University. Remaining in the national top 10 for seven consecutive years is a testament to the dedication and talent of our staff and students. I am also proud that we have been recognised as the leading university in the South West for the past ten years.

“These achievements reflect our commitment to delivering an exceptional education and student experience, as well as making a positive impact through our research and partnerships. I would like to thank everyone across our community whose contributions continue to strengthen Bath’s reputation for excellence.”
