Be the Change is the University of Bath's anti-harassment project. It raises awareness of all forms of harassment and discrimination and sexual misconduct.

Be the Change

Be the Change is relaunching during welcome week and the following training is being provided:

Delivering Be the Change training to 120 Fresher's Captains.
Delivering a live online session to students during their departmental induction and directing them to complete the Be the Change online module. Staff can view the Be the Change training that students will complete here. This covers how to recognise harassment, discrimination and sexual misconduct, how to be an active bystander and how to seek support or make a report. All new students are expected to complete this course.
Providing Active Consent online sexual consent training to students. All new and returning students are encouraged to complete this course. Staff can view the Active Consent training that students will complete here.
Raising awareness of the project through events, comms and social media.

We invite you to support this project by talking about the project with your colleagues and encouraging students to take up the training. You can also collect Be the Change badges to show your support for the project from the Student Support helpdesk in 4 West.

A Be the Change module is also being developed for staff.
