The T-junction at the top of Bathwick Hill with North Road will be completely closed for 6 weeks over the summer holiday period.
What's changing
Diversions in place
During the roadworks, the U1, U1N, and U3 buses will travel via North Road and Quarry Road instead of travelling up Bathwick Hill.
Services U1,U1N,U3 and 20 towards Bath University
Services U1,U1N,U3 and 20 towards Bath University will operate normal route to Bathwick Hill roundabout where they will divert via Darlington Street,Sydney Place and Beckford Road. They will then join North Road and follow this up the hill to resume normal route at Quarry Road/Oakley(20).
The following stops will be unable to be served: -St.Marys Church-Woodland Place incl.
Services U1,U1N,U3 and 20 towards Bath City Centre
Services U1,U1N,U3 and 20 towards Bath City Centre will operate normal route to the junction with North Road, divert along North Road then via Beckford Road,Sydney Place and Darlington Street to resume normal routes at Bathwick Hill roundabout.
The following stops will be unable to be served: -North Road-Raby Gardens incl.
All stops along North Road will be served during this closure.
These diversions will be in place from 23 July until 29 August.
Temporary bus stop
The U1, U1N, and U3 buses will be using the West Car Park as a temporary bus stop for drop off and pick up. A temporary heightened platform will be in place to maintain safe access to the bus entry and exit steps.
The U4 service is unaffected and will continue to use the Arrivals Square as usual.
No change to timetables
The buses will run to the same timetable. You can check the First Bus website for any changes to local First Bus services
