Sustainability sits in the heart of the University of Bath through our whole-institution approach. It's embedded in our strategy, our identity, and everything we do. Earth Day on Wednesday 22 April is a moment to reflect on the global environmental challenges we face, from the climate emergency to biodiversity loss, water scarcity and air pollution. While this date highlights the scale of the crisis, tackling it demands action every day. Across Bath, our community is stepping up and making this happen.
The theme for Earth Day 2026 is our power, our planet and shows the progress that can be made through collective action. Together, our individual actions will add up to make a positive impact on our future. Whether through the education we provide, the daily habits we choose or our positive influence beyond Bath, we can all make a difference.
This spring, in recognition of Earth Day, we invite our community to take part in sustainability activities that help you put sustainability into practice and take action in your daily life.
