We are pleased to announce that Hye Eun Jang has joined the Institute for Policy Research (IPR) as a new Visiting Fellow.

Hye Eun, a recipient of the Korean Government Overseas Fellowship, is Deputy Director of the Digital Transformation of Education Division at Korea's Ministry of Education. She recently completed a Master's in International Education and Globalisation at the University of Bath.

During her time at the IPR, Hye Eun will research strategies for using educational technology and learning data to revitalise public education. She will study how Korea can address challenges in digital innovation in education, drawing on examples and policies from other countries, focusing on the UK. She will be with the IPR until July 2026.

On the appointment, Ashley Lait, Head of Policy Programmes and Communications at IPR, said: "We are delighted to welcome Hye Eun as one of our latest Visiting Fellows. At the IPR, we have significant research expertise in education and digitalisation so we hope that this will be a very interesting and fruitful exchange for both Hye Eun and colleagues at the University of Bath."
