The Institute for Policy Research (IPR) is pleased to welcome seven senior policymakers from NHS England’s Strategy Team to take part in the IPR’s Health Policy Fellowship Programme this week.
The Strategy Team, which includes Ben Jupp (Director of Strategy), Adrian Masters (National Advisor) and Hannah Butcher (Senior Strategy Manager), will meet with 12 different researchers at the University, connecting with colleagues from the Department of Economics, the Department for Health, the Institute for Policy Research, the Institute for the Augmented Human and the School of Management.
Amy Thompson, Head of Policy Programmes and Communications at the IPR, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome members of the NHS England Strategy Team to the University of Bath as part of our recently launched Health Policy Fellowship Programme. This visit enables us to connect them with our leading academics and to explore how our expertise can contribute to and inform NHS England's crucial work, and also provides the opportunity for Bath colleagues to learn from the NHS England Strategy Team.’
The Health Policy Fellowship Programme was launched in January 2024 and draws on one of the University’s core research strengths. Aimed at senior policy and decision-makers working nationally and regionally on health policy, it complements existing specialist Policy Fellowship Programmes for Net Zero and AI and builds on the flagship IPR Policy Fellowship Programme.
The programme offers policymakers the opportunity to explore their policy questions or challenges through a bespoke series of tailored meetings with leading academics based at the University of Bath.
