We are pleased to announce that Taegyeong Kim has joined the Institute for Policy Research (IPR) as a new Visiting Fellow.

Taegyeong Kim is a Deputy Director of the Social Services Policy Department at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Republic of Korea, where she leads social service quality management and social service supply innovation. She will be with the IPR until June 2025.

During her time at the IPR, she will research how to strengthen quality management of social service providers in Korea, conducting a policy analysis of social service quality management in the UK. The research will be supervised by Dr Geoff Bates, a Research Fellow at the IPR and Lecturer and Deputy Director of Studies on the Professional Doctorate in Policy Research & Practice.

On the appointment, Geoff says: "We are delighted to welcome Taegyeong Kim to the IPR as a Visiting Fellow. We look forward to sharing ideas about public health and wellbeing and learning from her analysis of UK policies."
