We are pleased to announce that Youngmin Lee has joined the Institute for Policy Research (IPR) as a new Visiting Fellow.
Youngmin Lee is a Deputy Director at the Financial Services Commission (FSC), the government agency responsible for financial policy and regulation in the Republic of Korea. He will be with the IPR until July 2025.
During his time at the IPR, he will research policy finance in South Korea, examining the effect of policy finance on the economy, and will investigate finding a healthy balance between policy finance and private finance in Korea.
On the appointment, Amy Thompson, Head of Policy Programmes and Communications at the IPR, adds:
"We are thrilled to welcome Youngmin to the IPR as a Visiting Fellow. His research focus on the formulation of public financial policies and their impact aligns closely with key areas of the IPR's research portfolio. We look forward to collaborating with him throughout his fellowship. The chance to engage with fellows working within the Korean government offers valuable dual learning experiences, and we are eager to benefit mutually from this exchange."
