The Campus Services department is delighted to announce that the community larder area is now open again for the new academic year.

You can find the area on campus by the exit of the Fresh shop, after the Amazon lockers.

There is a shelving area, fridge and freezer, where students and staff can donate or collect items.

Short dated food from Fresh, The Market or the hospitality outlets may also be placed here, as and when available.

The community area is another way that the University is striving to reduce disposable waste and Leave No Trace. The community fridge and freezer also help with the 'reducing food waste' part of our Sustainable Food Commitment.

Watch a video of Emma Cockle, Sustainability Co-Ordinator for Campus Services, talking about the success of the new community area.
