Evidence shows that taking a proactive approach to stress management − focusing on prevention and early intervention − is beneficial. To mark Stress Awareness Month, we are sharing a range of resources that are available to help you manage stress and promote good mental wellbeing, whatever your role.

Looking after your wellbeing at Bath

Be Well at Bath is our whole University approach to mental health and wellbeing. It provides a strategic framework to help us embed wellbeing considerations across everything we do.

Our new Wellbeing at work e-learning modules for staff and managers have been designed to guide you through our University approach to wellbeing. They contain a variety of tools and support you can access as a member of staff or manager to help you stay well at work and beyond.

As a member of staff, you can access mental health and wellbeing training sessions on a range of topics such as:

  • Manage energy, not time
  • Resilience and wellbeing
  • Pressure, stress and performance

The Workplace Wellbeing Wheel is a handy tool linked with the Health and Safety Executive Management Standards. It can be used in your everyday work life, as it outlines the areas that are associated with health and wellbeing at work.

Our Staff Wellbeing Champions are here to offer a listening ear, advice and signposting to helpful resources.

As an employee at Bath, you can access free and confidential help and advice whenever you need it. Health Assured offers access to a team of professional counsellors 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. They also provide practical support and advice on a range of topics and information.

Find out about all of these resources and more in our Wellbeing at work e-learning modules.
