Project brief submissions are now open for the Bath Insights Internship Programme, with all academic departments and professional services teams invited to propose projects for summer 2027 internships.

The programme offers a valuable opportunity to work with talented University of Bath students while advancing projects that can be difficult to prioritise alongside day-to-day responsibilities.

Progress projects that are difficult to prioritise

Many teams have important projects that could deliver significant benefits but are often delayed by competing operational demands. The Bath Insights Internship Programme provides dedicated student capacity to help move these projects forward, enabling teams to make progress on strategic work that might otherwise remain on the to-do list.

Projects are expected to have clear objectives, defined outputs and meaningful outcomes that can be delivered over the course of the internship.

Dedicated project capacity and fresh thinking

Bath Insights interns bring focus, enthusiasm, and a fresh perspective to your team. Working on a dedicated project, they can contribute research, analysis, communications, service development, data insights and other outputs that create lasting value.

Beyond completing project deliverables, interns can offer new ideas and viewpoints, helping teams explore opportunities and approaches that may not have been considered before.

Designed for strategic project work

The Bath Insights Internship Programme is intended for project-based work that benefits from dedicated attention and delivers tangible outcomes.

It is not designed to fill short-term staffing or resource gaps, provide temporary cover for vacancies, or support routine operational activities. Instead, the focus is on projects that will leave a lasting legacy for your department, service, or wider University community.

Open to all departments and professional services teams

All departments and professional services teams are welcome to submit a project brief and host an intern as part of the summer 2027 programme.

Whether your project relates to research, student experience, communications, sustainability, service improvement or another strategic priority, we encourage you to explore how an intern could help bring it to fruition.

Submission deadline

The deadline for project brief submissions is 2 November 2026.
