Geoff joined the Management Information team in March 2003. During his time at Bath as a Student Information Officer, Geoff’s work focused on the production and dissemination of student data. Geoff created and maintained online student data, and worked on statutory returns and Freedom of Information requests. He was meticulous in making sure the data was correct. Geoff’s particular interests were analysing equality and diversity aspects of student data. He was always keen to explore with colleagues better ways of understanding what attainment and outcomes data could tell us.

James Arthur, Head of Registry Services, said: “Geoff has been my colleague since I joined the University. He had a natural curiosity which both served him well in his role and meant he was a warm and friendly colleague who always had time for others. My thoughts go out to his family and friends”.

Jon Davies, Assistant Registrar (Management Information) said: “Geoff was an integral part of the team: conscientious and with a keen eye for detail. He was a pleasure to work with and we would often chat about music and how our kids were doing at football. He’ll be greatly missed.”

Geoff’s funeral will be held on Thursday 28 July 2022 at 11.30am at St. Andrews Church, Congresbury, Bristol. Colleagues are all welcome to attend.
