We are aware of allegations circulating on social media channels about intentions to spike drinks during Freshers’ Week. We take these concerns extremely seriously.

University of Bath students undertake mandatory #NeverOK training that aims to tackle all forms of harassment, bullying, sexual misconduct and discrimination. In addition, sports group committee members attend workshop training on expected standards of individual and team behaviour and conduct. To date since the start of term, no incidents of spiking have been reported to us.

The safety and wellbeing of the student community in Bath is our priority. We are proactively investigating the matter to establish the facts. We are already liaising with our own student community and external partners. We strongly encourage anyone with information to use our Support and Report system, which can be done in confidence, and any information will be thoroughly investigated.
