CMA CGM Excellence Fund for Education

This scholarship aims to support Lebanese students in pursuing higher education supported by shipping and logistics company CMA CGM Group.

The CMA CGM Excellence Fund aims to encourage Lebanese students to study abroad by providing financial support for their master's courses. The CMA CGM Group is one of Lebanon's leading employers and has supported 145 students per year since the launch of the scheme in 2021. The University of Bath will support 9 master's students over the next 3 years to study a one year master's course with us.

The scholarship covers:

  • full tuition fee waiver
  • a minimum yearly stipend rate of £19,237 in line with UKRI stipend levels

Travel costs, visa costs and English language tests are not included as part of this scholarship.


Eligible programmes

The scholarship is open to students pursuing master's courses in the below subject areas


In order to apply for this award, you must submit a separate scholarship application. You must also have first applied for one of a one-year master's programmes for 2025 entry in Management, Engineering, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence. Please note, the tuition fee waiver is available for our standalone master's courses only and does not include our pre-sessional fee.


Eligibility criteria

In order to apply for this scholarship, you must also meet all of the below criteria.


In order to apply for the CMA CGM Excellence Fund you must:

  • be a national of Lebanon; priority will be given to those currently residing in Lebanon
  • have applied for one of our one-year eligible master's course listed above for September 2025 entry
  • have international tuition fee status
  • demonstrate a strong case for financial support/socio-economic need

Please note, priority may be given to individuals who have not previously completed a degree outside of Lebanon.
