Our mathematical sciences courses give you a strong theoretical and practical understanding of mathematics and statistics, as well as an appreciation of the scope, value and beauty of maths.

You can choose to study undergraduate degree courses in:

• Mathematics. Gain specialist knowledge in pure and applied mathematics for solving real-world problems, while also developing the foundations for further research.
• Mathematics and Statistics. Gain a broad education in pure and applied mathematics before specialising in the collection, analysis and interpretation of data to make predictions.
• Mathematics, Statistics and Data Science. Use your mathematical skills to formulate problems and discover patterns, and develop strong programming skills to implement mathematical algorithms on large data sets.

We are delighted to offer up to 300 Bath International Excellence Scholarships that are worth £8,000 per academic year - £24,000 over three years - for high-achieving international students joining an undergraduate degree course in September 2026.

If you are a new first year applicant who has been assessed as an overseas fee paying student, and have an offer to study an undergraduate degree at the University of Bath starting in September 2026, you are eligible to apply.
