| Aims: The course consolidates and develops business specific vocabulary, fluency, grammatical structures and cultural awareness in order to enable students to operate in a wide range of business and management situations.
Learning Outcomes: On completion of the unit students will be able to:
* give clear, systematically developed descriptions and presentations on current economic topics and company structures with appropriate highlighting of significant points and relevant supporting detail;
* communicate confidently and spontaneously in a range of work situations, including those in a more unpredictable work context;
* analyse and evaluate data and graphs accounting for and sustaining their views/ analysis, in writing and orally;
* understand audio and written reports and discussions on companies and the current economic climate.

Content: The course provides students with the language to operate in a range of business situations. It gives them the knowledge and linguistic skills to understand, analyse and debate the current economic climate relating to the countries where the target language is spoken and its business environment. Emphasis will be given to fluency and grammatical accuracy.
