To:
* introduce students from a range of backgrounds with the current and future technology make up of automotive propulsion systems
* allow students to understand the importance and opportunities of their own specialist disciplines within automotive propulsion systems.

Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this unit the student will be able to:
* Interpret technology roadmaps using insight frameworks
* Determine the range of stakeholders involved in innovation and why trans-disciplinary team work is critical for holistic solutions
* Evaluate the opportunities in the furtherance of automotive propulsion offered by a specific technical discipline.

Content:
This is an intensive unit delivered over a 2 week period containing:
* lectures introducing each of the automotive technology roadmaps
* guest lectures and discussion sessions with experts and practitioners
* tutorial sessions to develop ideas for coursework and presentation
* practical sessions discovering propulsion hardware.
