Learning Outcomes: On completion of this unit, you will be able to:
1. Apply engineering principles to propulsion technology to estimate the performance of a system
2. Tackle a scope-limited open-ended problem relating to automotive propulsion
3. Assess the ethical and environmental implications of a propulsion system design
4. Communicate complex information effectively.

Synopsis: Develop your knowledge of detailed aspects of propulsion system design and operation, and associated sub-system component specifications.
You will implement a range of modelling techniques and parameterisation processes for all parts of the propulsion system, involving hardware and software.
You will build skills with evaluating and communicating the environmental performance of advanced propulsions systems, within the context of legislative frameworks.

* Implementation of combined software models and physical test rigs
* Motor controller laboratory session
